To log into DKUM, use your UM digital identity. Follow the instructions on the link.
You can get the UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) only in the faculty library. Check your library or faculty websites on when the working hours are and what information you have to provide to get an UDC.
Documentation is built in into web pages of DKUM itself. Besides the instructions on the pages there is also the
icon, present on most pages with additional information. This icon is positioned on the far-right side of the page main title on beside certain input fields. Clicking this icon opens a document in a pop-up window that some web browsers prevent. Set up your browser to allow pop-up windows to open for the DKUM domain.
After you submit your thesis into DKUM, it must be processed by the student office and by the faculty library. Both can take some time, especially at the end and at the beginning of the study year, since this is the time, most students submit their theses. Publication of your work may take several months to complete.
Permanent removal of your thesis is not possible. You can get a short delay (embargo) before publishing but only with a well-defined reason, like to maintain competitive advantage of a company, intellectual rights protection, protection of trade secrets and trade clients. Embargo can last up to three years. Please consult your student office about this.
If your thesis is not published yet, then go to student office and request your thesis to be unlocked. If your thesis is published, changes to thesis are no longer possible.
Similar content detection report can take several minutes to complete. Processing time depends on the file size and the number of concurrent requests in processing, which is high at the end of study year. You can check your report status on the page where your requested it. After the report is completed, you and your mentor will get an email with the report. If the report is not completed in less than three hours, something is wrong, and you should contact the DKUM support.
If you replace or delete your thesis PDF file, then the report is also deleted, and the link becomes invalid. The link also becomes invalid if your thesis is published. If you need a new report, you will have to request a new one, if that option is still available to you.
Such percentage does not exist. Percentages only tell how much text from one document is in the other document. Let's look at some examples of why percentage alone cannot determine plagiarism:
Percentage is just a value used for sorting the list of similar documents in a way, that most similar works are at the top. It is still in the hands of people (your mentor) to determine, whether a document is plagiarized or not. That is why the similar content detection website has interactive ways to look at similar parts of text, where they come from and how much of it is. This way it can be decided, whether it is a missing citation, similarity by random chance or someone actually copied some text.
Emails are answered over work week between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. On weekends and holidays email is not answered.
Employees of the University of Maribor can upload their work into DKUM. To do this, you need to log into DKUM using the ArnesAAI authentication system. Use your UM identity credentials when asked for username and password. After successful login choose the "Employee's work upload" and follow the instructions on each page.
As an authenticated user you can edit your user profile and add links to your profiles in other web repositories or data collections, like COBISS, ARRS, GoogleScholar, ResearchGate etc. Any link you add is shown on personal bibliography under mentor statistics.
